Get ready for a thrilling yet bittersweet announcement, Disney fans! The GEO-82 Fireworks Experience at EPCOT is taking a break, and it's a lengthy one!
According to the reservations calendar, this popular attraction will be closed for over two weeks starting late January 2026. But here's the twist: the closure isn't just for a day or two; it's an extended hiatus that has left many fans wondering.
The GEO-82 Fireworks Experience offers a unique dining and viewing experience, with a special menu and a front-row seat to the spectacular Luminous: The Symphony of Us. However, from January 25 to at least February 9, this magical evening will be on pause.
When trying to book reservations, guests will notice the experience is 'closed' during this period. Interestingly, the Spaceship Earth bar, where the experience is hosted, will still be open for business as usual. And the show, Luminous, will continue to dazzle audiences at its usual 9 p.m. slot.
The mystery deepens as February 9 is the last date currently available on the calendar. No official word from Disney yet on whether and when the fireworks dessert party will make its grand return.
This exclusive experience comes at a premium, priced at $179 per person, plus tax and gratuity. It includes a fixed menu of champagne, cocktails, a tasting tower, and sweet treats, all enjoyed with a breathtaking view of the fireworks through the bar's windows.
So, if you were planning a visit to EPCOT and had your heart set on this experience, you might be feeling a little disappointed. But fear not! There's still plenty of magic to discover at EPCOT, and who knows, maybe this break will bring some exciting changes or enhancements to the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience.
And this is the part most people miss: closures and changes like these often spark creativity and innovation within Disney Parks. So, while we wait for more information, let's keep our fingers crossed for an even more spectacular experience when it returns!
